Curious - Whimsical - Imaginative
I'm Isabel Hulsebus, an animation and game design major, currently working at an escape room, with an interest in conceptual art, character design and possibly art direction. I've always adored animals and creatures of all sorts, and this has spilled into my work as I've gotten older. I adore creating charming and interesting characters that can be simple but memorable. |
I have always been interested in nerdy outlets such as film and gaming, growing up with two brothers and a father in technology will certainly pull you into the culture of it. Once I reached a situation where as a teenager I was homeschooled, I was able to start working more on my artistic abilities. I began drawing digitally when I was 13 and continued to advance my skills as far as I could with the tools I was given. As I worked on my craft my view of the world grew into a more global view, and I began playing online games with people all over the world. This strengthened my desire to work in the field of video games or film.
As I've graduated now I've begun to further refine my work and pick up and learn new skills, much of my time is spent continuing to illustrate, and I've dipped my time into physical painting as well since it goes hand and hand with my work environment as well. Often I'm working on aesthetic repairs that involve physical props that need repainting or refinishing.
