Recently we had a new escape room built at work and there were some holes in the wall that needed to be patched up, to make them look more aesthetically pleasing my manager opted to put up this brick wallpaper, and tasked me with making our white electrical panel look more cohesive with the brick as well as cover up an unsightly seam. This project was a really fun one and even though it took a lot of time between layers, it was worth the effort in layering paints to achieve a rust like texture. The small flowers were added since in order to start the room we have a flower sticker to indicate where we need to, I wanted to make it look like someone had painted small flowers on it similar to the graffiti on the wall to make the flower look less out of place.

I've been getting into painting Dungeons and Dragons miniatures, these have been a bit of a learning process for me of figuring out ways to make things look similar to some already established images, as well as taking some artistic liberty with their designs. Overall, I've enjoyed learning more practical painting techniques for this type of application, learning ways to make sure details pop and don't get lost in translation, using the correct paints with the right finishes, picking accurate colors and making materials look accurate to real life counterparts.
Some were started over from scratch since the finished product was not how I envisioned them, but it gives me a chance to redo and learn things from my mistakes the previous iterations. |

This small personal project involved me learning to use my resin printer, I also was brushing up on my zBrush skills for him, as his sculpt involved making him in zBrush and then prepping him for printing. This did include an error in my initial print which taught me I needed thicker walls for this particular print as well as sizing the entire print down a bit.
The second print turned out much better, with a more solid structure. This was the print that was the one that I finished up adding paint to and making him look like he had some water droplets on his head since the character is an amphibian. |
